In the Roblox game Infinity Gauntlet | Thanos Simulator (created by developer Blg42598), you charge the Infinity Gauntlet by holding the weapon and pressing Q on your PC keyboard, or by tapping the designated button on mobile touchscreens. Charging takes approximately 2 seconds on the standard gauntlet and 1.47 seconds on the Upgraded Infinity Gauntlet, with no cooldown required. Officially, charging requires you to have the Power Stone, Space Stone, and Reality Stone slotted into your glove.
Once charged, the gauntlet unlocks multiple advanced powers, such as Disintegrate, Charged Punch, Super Shockwave, Meteor Shower, and the Classic Snap interface.
Gauntlet Charge Requirements and Specifications
According to the official Thanos Simulator documentation, charging channels the power of your gathered stones to prepare heavy-hitting offensive attacks and puzzle interactions.
| Metric | Non-Upgraded Gauntlet | Upgraded Infinity Gauntlet |
|---|---|---|
| Keybind (PC) | Q | Q |
| Touch Input (Mobile) | On-screen Charge UI | On-screen Charge UI |

The official game wiki documents a known glitch where some new players have been able to trigger the charge animation without having collected the Power, Space, and Reality stones first. Under regular gameplay design, however, acquiring those three stones is the intended prerequisite.
Abilities Unlocked by Charging Your Gauntlet
Holding a charge unlocks specific single-input and combo abilities that cannot be activated from the neutral stance:
- Disintegrate (Press E while Charged): Fires a glowing energy projectile directly where you aim. This ability is used to damage bosses and solve environment puzzles throughout the map, such as shooting the three pillars on the winter island for the Casket of Ancient Winters and activating sequences in the Catacombs.
- Charged Punch (Left-Click while Charged): Deals concentrated melee impact damage. On the Upgraded Gauntlet, this delivers between 9,007 and 27,035 damage depending on active buffs such as Focus and Heart of Ymir, while healing the user for 2,302 health on a successful hit.
- Super Shockwave (Press X while Charged): Triggers an explosive blast with a 90-stud area of effect. The upgraded version has a 2.68-second windup and inflicts massive area damage scaled by proximity to targets.
- Meteor Shower / Decimate (Press V while Charged): Calls down meteor strikes targeting the area around your cursor (or the location tapped on mobile), dealing 2,000 to 4,500 damage per impact.
- Classic Snap / Snap of Ymir (Press Q again while Charged): Re-activating the charge keybind brings up the Snap UI prompt. Activating the Classic Snap instantly eliminates nearby normal targets and renders the gauntlet temporarily unusable.
Troubleshooting the Charge Bug
Players frequently encounter issues where the gauntlet fails to charge or behaves inconsistently:
- PVP Charge Lock: Laggy public servers or rapidly spamming the Q key (or tapping the mobile button too quickly) can cause the gauntlet to enter a bugged state where charging does not register. The standard solution is to open the Roblox menu and reset your character using Esc, R, and Enter in quick succession.
- Infinite Charge Stacking: When utilizing HD Admin commands such as God mode in conjunction with certain boss lethal attacks, character health can display as "nan", causing the gauntlet to infinitely loop the charging animation upon spamming Q.
- Defensive Shield Cancel: To avoid taking lethal hits while preparing a charge, you can press Q to initiate the charge and press C for your Shield immediately before the animation finishes. This allows you to raise your defensive barrier without canceling out your readiness to counter.
Required Stones to Unlock Charging
To unlock the charging mechanic as intended, players must locate the three governing stones scattered across the map:
- Space Stone: Located at the Space Stone Mountain on the edge of the map. Reach it by navigating stairs outside the entrance and completing a parkour section across disappearing meteor platforms.
- Reality Stone: Found at the end of the Reality Parkour course. You can complete the platform jumps while dodging turret fire, or bypass the obstacles entirely by using the Space Stone's teleport ability directly to the stone.
- Power Stone: Located in the Power Stone Temple near the Lunar area. After finishing the dark parkour course, you must fight the moving PowerStoneThing boss cube. Dodge its shockwaves and four-way laser beams, then jump on its glowing top weak point during its 5-second vulnerability window. Hitting the weak point 10 times defeats the cube and awards the Power Stone.
